Lisa holds a BFA from Pratt Institute and currently resides in Mystic, CT.

 

This Vermont born artist spent many years in Manhattan working as an illustrator. Her fine art practice consists of various solo shows at galleries, museums and she continues with private commissions and exhibits in juried shows and online platforms. Currently she is a Drawing instructor at Mystic Museum of Art in Connecticut and South County Art Association in Rhode Island.

ARTIST STATEMENT​

“Having something to say”...My art is word and picture combined to evoke thought with familiar visual connections.

I can paint in the field of super realism or tromp l’oeil or naive drawing, but more often the connections are ironic twists. I will use word and color and whimsy to bring the subject of my art alive.

Observing the culture of today or yesterday is a way of understanding who we are and where we are going. As a visual observer, an artist, and my love of drawing and painting I illustrate our world in a way that may provide us with insight, understanding and acceptance.
